For Protection Warrior, Details! goes beyond raw damage — the damage breakdown shows how much of your intake was blocked, absorbed by Ignore Pain, or leaked through as real damage requiring healer attention. In M+, use the effective health view to benchmark your survivability against other tank specs at the same key level. Your raid team uses it to see your Ignore Pain absorption, which directly informs healer mana planning.

Platynator puts interrupt cooldowns on enemy nameplates, so as the tank pulling packs you can see at a glance which casts are covered by your group and which need your Spell Reflection or a Pummel. For Protection Warrior specifically, the nameplate color shifts as you build threat — which matters at the start of M+ pulls where you're transitioning from initial aggro to positioning for the next cast.

OmniCD puts all of these on your screen so you know whether to pop Last Stand on this incoming hit or wait 4 seconds for the Paladin's Blessing to land first. As Protection Warrior you also need to track when your own Rallying Cry (your group-wide external) has been used and when it comes back.

Protection Warrior has a complex active mitigation rotation: Shield Block needs near-100% uptime, Last Stand is your major oh-shit button, and Spell Reflection has tight sub-25-second windows on specific pull patterns. BetterCooldownManager groups these by priority — active mitigation at the top with audio cues, offensive CDs below — so you're never caught with Shield Block dropped or a defensive wasted on a trivial auto-attack.

Protection Warrior has two loops running simultaneously — active mitigation and damage output. Ignore Pain and Shield Block are the priority, but in between those GCDs you still want to press Shield Slam, Thunder Blast, and Revenge in the right order. MaxDps puts a glow on the next offensive ability based on your current buffs and rage, so your DPS rotation stays sharp even when you're focused on cooldown management. The Warrior module covers Fury, Arms, and Prot in one addon.
