Fury Warrior · Essentials

A solid starting setup for Fury Warrior — picks that improve your output regardless of content. Reviewed 20 May 2026.

Spec Builds

Default DPS Build

Slayer

Single-target focused with strong execute phases. Slayer's Malice amplifies Execute at sub-35% health — relevant on every boss. Handles basic AoE via Bladestorm and Whirlwind, but for sustained multi-target cleave Mountain Thane is the better pick.

Details! Damage Meter

345.4M downloads

Works in Midnight Updated 16 May 2026

Fury Warrior lives and dies on Enrage uptime and Recklessness timing. Details! shows exactly how long you spent in Enrage relative to fight duration — if it's below 85%, you're bleeding significant output to failed procs or bad timing. The spell breakdown also confirms your Bloodthirst-to-Rampage conversion ratio; too many Bloodthirsts without Rampage means you're not refreshing Enrage fast enough.

Platynator

9.5M downloads

Works in Midnight Updated 19 May 2026

In M+, Fury Warrior needs to stay on top of adds to maximize Recklessness and Bladestorm value. Platynator shows enemy cast bars and interrupt cooldowns on nameplates — you can see which casts the tank has covered and position to cleave multiple targets during Bladestorm without accidentally running out of range mid-combo or using Pummel on a cast that was already being kicked.

OmniCD

33.4M downloads

Works in Midnight Updated 27 Feb 2026

Fury Warrior contributes two things to the group: Pummel for interrupts and Rallying Cry as a major group defensive. OmniCD puts both on screen alongside your group's other major cooldowns. In M+, you can see at a glance whether a cast is already being kicked before you waste a Pummel. In raid, it shows when healer externals are available — useful for knowing whether to pop Enraged Regeneration yourself or let a Pain Suppression land first. Rallying Cry coordination also becomes simple: you can see when it's the last defensive standing before a scripted damage event.

BetterCooldownManager

938.2K downloads

Works in Midnight Updated 22 Apr 2026

Everything should stack into Recklessness: Avatar, Odyn's Fury, Execute phase if it lines up, trinkets. BetterCooldownManager groups these cooldowns by priority so you never open a Recklessness window while Avatar is still 2 seconds away — which is the most common Fury Warrior mistake. Add an audio cue for Recklessness coming off cooldown so you stop holding it for the 'perfect moment' that never arrives.

IWT – Improved Whirlwind Tracker

23.8K downloads

Works in Midnight Updated 20 Apr 2026

Improved Whirlwind is one of Fury Warrior's most important buffs — it resets Raging Blow charges and makes your next Whirlwind deal bonus damage. The default UI buries it in the debuff list. IWT puts the stack count front and centre as a customisable bar or icon, so you can track when it's safe to spend Raging Blow charges and when to hold for the buff. Choose bars, three icons, or a single stacked icon — all fully resizable and repositionable. Updated for Midnight 12.0.5.

MaxDps Warrior

5.5M downloads

Works in Midnight Updated 17 May 2026

Fury Warrior's priority list isn't long — Raging Blow when it procs, Bloodthirst to maintain Enrage, Rampage at 100 rage — but under pressure the sequence unravels. MaxDps puts a glow on whichever ability you should press next based on your current rage, Enrage status, and proc windows. Useful for learning the spec or playing off-spec. The Warrior module covers Fury, Arms, and Prot in a single addon.
